44: Crushed and Colorful with Pamela Froman

Pamela Froman began her career in Paris, designing jewelry for European couturier salons, including Courreges, Cacharel, Carita, Guy Larouche, and Valentino. While she enjoyed working with these established labels, she i felt the need to share her personal definition of exceptional jewelry and decided to launch her signature line.

Living in Europe inspired the designer's love of old-world architecture, especially scrolly wrought iron gates and the decorative domes of St. Petersberg. To create her unique styles, the award winning designer hand-selects exquisite diamonds, striking gemstones, and rare pearls, paring them with her distinct colors of 18k gold she has developed, as well as 22k, or Platinum, finishing each piece with her signature "Crushed" texture.

Originally from the giant melting point of Manhattan, NY, Pamela now resides in California and makes all of her pieces locally. "I feel strongly that individuality is the underlying theme of beauty," the designer explains."Each piece is handmade, so no two will ever be identical, even if they are similar in design."

All Pamela Froman Fine Jewelry is handcrafted in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.

41: Inheriting Family Jewels with Lauren Kessler

To say that Lauren inherited the family jewels is an understatement. She is the fourth generation to run the prestigious N. Zaidens Co., a leader in the fine jewelry arena for over 100 years. During her college years, Lauren began working alongside her grandfather learning not only the mechanics, but also the artistry of fine jewelry. She continued her interest in the company during law school and soon after graduation realized that the family business was not only in her blood, but also in her heart.

Lauren began working under her grandfather full time, and after his retirement, took over as President. After only two short years, she indelibly carved her niche in the family tree by launching the Lauren K Collection. Her inspiration for the line was not from a particular stone or setting, but instead, the women she wanted to reach with her designs – women who want feminine, beautiful jewelry that they can buy for themselves and wear everyday like their favorite perfume. Unlike other lines, the Lauren K collection is not made for a jewelry box; it is designed to complement a woman’s lifestyle. The collection premiered in 1997 and was immediately well received. Lauren is committed to evolving the line while keeping in mind the ever-changing lives of the women who bring her designs to life.  To that end, new pieces are constantly being made, and the collection continuously expanding.

Lauren takes inspiration from the natural beauty around her-whether through travels or something that just catches her eye on a walk around the city. She is a proud supporter of many charities, and sits on the board of The Kellner Pediatric Liver Foundation, a charity that is near and dear to her heart.

35: Brand Building with Keri Parker

With two decades of experience in the beauty space, Keri Parker consistently

redefines the role of industry expert by breaking through mainstream confines and

enlivening brands with an exacting mix of grassroots marketing and media gloss.

Equal parts lifestyle clairvoyant and beauty authority, Keri has an uncanny ability to

accelerate brands from obscurity to essential status, earning her “kick-starter of

beauty” moniker.

Based in Southern California, she pioneered both the organic beauty and CBD B

to-B scene on her home turf, drilling down high-impact ingredients and nimbly

sifting through the hype— an ever-potent skill within the veneer of social media. An

on-air storyteller, she crafts segments for QVC, HSN, TSC, NBC and FOX. And

behind the scenes, Parker tells a compelling shoppable story through product

placement, pop-ups and memorable events.

It’s a nuanced skill that has helped her grow major beauty brands from infancy

while increasing sales. With her anti-formula, anti-agency approach, Keri delves

into distribution, dissects sales models, and dot-connects on the front lines. This

The midwestern native never underestimates the power of community; She shapes

and molds brands by the company they keep, syncing like-minded retailers,

consumers, media, and tastemakers to create legitimacy, heighten awareness and

drive sales.

32: Bling Therapy with Sonja Picard

“I believe it is our true nature to be attracted to beauty …it elevates our soul and physical well being by surrounding our home or adorning oneself with something beautiful and exquisite. Jewelry and art are more than decoration, they are an extension of our selves, a reflection of our personal evolution and cosmology.” – Sonja Picard”

Canadian award-winning Jewelry Designer Sonja Picard has been a professional full time artist since 1990. Called a ‘bling therapist” by many and a modern-day Alchemist from her renown bespoke services of Recycle your love and more exclusive service called The Cosmology Collection. Prescribing and making jewelry specifically for her clients as a ‘medicinal jeweled elixir” to promote and attract re-balancing of physical and emotional well being, career and relationship harmony. Her 30 years of comprehensive knowledge of mysticism and spiritual landscape has shaped her creativity by study and initiation of sacred mantras and study of Shamanism. Driven to give voice to the sacred, Sonja creates from the ancient Eastern tradition of ‘transmission’ where the making of the piece passes through the artist in heart connection while chanting sacred mantras in the creative process. A combination of meditation, mysticism and devotion that allows the artist to manifest the vision without connection to mind or ego all while holding its intention. Whether it is hand carving her jewelry or creating a painting this ‘ancient technology’ has always been a part of her creative process.
